What We Are
We Are Intelligence is an employee-owned cooperative building better tools, better systems, and better organizations.
We offer ERP implementation services built on Odoo, an open-source platform trusted by thousands of businesses worldwide. We develop extensions that make it more powerful. We teach freely and at depth the skills required to use it, understand it, and build on it. We operate by a set of principles that we believe make organizations genuinely worth working in.
We are small, honest about that, and building in public.
The Problem We Exist to Solve
Most organizations accumulate dysfunction quietly. Processes grow without being questioned. Management layers multiply without adding clarity. Decisions get made without the people closest to the work being consulted. The costs rarely appear as a single line item, but they are real: turnover, rework, missed opportunities, and the steady erosion of craftsmanship and care.
These are not inevitable features of running a business. They are the compounded result of organizational habits that have never been seriously examined.
We exist because we believe well-designed systems, clear principles, and honest leadership produce better outcomes. Not just better in some abstract sense. Better measured, better sustained, and better for every stakeholder involved.
What Intelligence Means to Us
We use the word deliberately and broadly.
Intelligence, as we mean it, is not a credential or a test score. It is the fundamental capacity to create, explore, and grow, the drive that makes a person more than a function. Every member of this organization is here because they exercise that capacity, and every system we build is designed to support it rather than suppress it.
The name We Are is equally deliberate. Intelligence here is not the property of any individual. It is collective, shared, and realized through collaboration.
Mission
To build organizations worthy of the people inside them by developing tools that make excellent operations accessible, knowledge that makes excellence learnable, and a cooperative model that makes it sustainable.
Core Principles
Leadership is a position of service. The role of a leader is to make the people they serve more capable, more confident, and more effective. Organizations where leadership serves that function outperform those where it does not.
Craftsmanship is non-negotiable. We do not cut corners. We do not make promises we cannot keep. The integrity of our work is the foundation of everything else.
Transparency by default. This knowledge base is public. Our governance is documented. Our unsolved problems are named. We operate this way because opacity is where trust goes to die.
Responsibility for externalities. We account for the effects of our decisions on people and systems beyond the immediate transaction. Ignoring consequences does not make them disappear.
Contribution should be recognized and rewarded. Compensation, ownership, and governance at We Are Intelligence are structured around this principle. The people who build the organization share in what it becomes.
What We Are Not
We are not a traditional consulting firm that happens to have cooperative paperwork.
The cooperative structure is not a marketing differentiator. It is the point. Every system we build internally, governance, compensation, ownership, decision-making, is an attempt to operationalize the values above. We hold ourselves to the same standard we apply to the organizations we serve.
We are also not finished. The model described in our knowledge base is under active construction. Where problems are unsolved, we say so. Where systems are in progress, we say so.
